History
Metanyi was set up in April 2009 in Yaoundé Cameroon. Initially, Metanyi was an association, whose general mission was helping marginalised or poor people (farmers’ groups, women, and young) of Cameroon to become stronger and empowered, through the different activities it was offering.
The name “METANYI” originates from the West Cameroon local language, that means: “let’s roll up our sleeves”. The whole idea is to grow together.
The experience and the knowledge we have built over the years has helped in refining our scope, however, the core of what Metanyi stands for remains at the centre of our business. Meaning that growing is process that is achieved together, when trust, commitment and transparency are involved.
